“ I’m visiting from Atlanta GA, and stumbled upon Bishops Lodge as we were traveling north. We were well taken care of during our visit. The food recommendations were great. I ordered the halibut dish with creamy leeks, and it was delicious. I had the Pavlova for dessert, and my friend had the best sticky toffee pudding ever! The manager, Michael, introduced himself and recommended the chili Sauvignon blanc wine which was great! A great lunch time date! ”
“ Called in on spec as driving past and checked it was dog friendly....it was. Very friendly greeting as we came through the door and staff excellent too. Love the decor and the feel of the place and the food was delicious. Our little cockapoo had a doggy dinner and wolfed it down as well. Absolutely be back here again and thoroughly recommend it. ”

“ 15 of us went today for Sunday lunch, pre booked rather than a drop in. Staff were great, they managed to be patient, efficient, attentive, professional, friendly and very hardworking. Whenever I visit, whichever staff are present all seem happy in their work and a good team. Our food came in a reasonable amount of time for 15 covers on a Sunday lunch time, all courses were delicious and there were clean plates all round. The southern fried chicken burgers were absolutely enormous, definitely good for those who like a challenge! We were having a family celebration and did not feel rushed at all, staff checked on us regularly and kept us topped up with drinks. The manager took photos for us and a staff member even changed my mum's glass without question, not knowing it was because her arthritis made it difficult to grip the j20 glass. Very kind people. The kitchen staff were also visibly working away really hard and doing a great job. All our visiting family thoroughly enjoyed their visit too. I can't wait to come back ”

“ The food here is simply excellent, great choice of drinks, with welcoming and friendly staff. My partner's duck looked divine. It was gone before any such chance of being offered a taste! There was some initial confusion over the pork pie parmo, which produced a good laugh for us and the lovely lady that served us. My Korean pork bite parmo was perfect as it is every time I ordered it (there are other options but I can't help myself). Maybe there will be a pork pie parmo in the near future! Looking forward to trying the Around the World Tapas on a Friday on a future visit. If you are in the area, you have to give the Bishop's Lodge a try. You won't regret it. ”
“ We went there to meet friends and we were welcomed in by a friendly member of staff we had a dog with us and we were sat in the bar area and a water bowl was brought straight away for the dog. The menu is homemade comfort food and classic pub food. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place . ”
